House Rules & Stay Guidelines

Arrival & Departure

• Check-in begins at 2:00 PM.
• Check-out is by 12:00 PM (Noon).
• Early check-in and late check-out may be arranged subject to availability and may incur additional charges.

Guest Registration

• All guests are required to present a valid passport or national ID upon arrival.
• Guest details are recorded in accordance with Maldivian tourism regulations.

Rates, Taxes & Payments

• Room rates are quoted NET (++).
• A 17% Tourism Goods & Services Tax (TGST) and, where applicable, a 10% Service Charge will be added.
• A Green Tax of USD 6 per guest, per night is collected and remitted to MIRA. Children under 2 years of age are exempt.
• Any outstanding balance should be settled on or before departure.
• We accept cash, major credit cards, and bank transfers.

Reservations & Cancellations

• A deposit may be required to secure your booking and will be applied toward your final bill.
• Free cancellation is available up to 14 days prior to arrival.
• Cancellations made within 14 days of arrival are subject to deposit forfeiture.
• No-shows will be charged the equivalent of the first night's stay.

Respecting Our Island Community

EcoWave Retreat is located on an inhabited local island where traditions and community values are an important part of daily life.

• Modest attire is appreciated in public areas of the island.
• Swimwear may be worn at the designated bikini beach and during approved excursions.
• In accordance with Maldivian law, alcohol and pork products are not available or permitted on the island.

Smoke-Free Rooms

• All guest rooms are strictly non-smoking.
• Smoking is permitted only in designated outdoor areas.
• Additional cleaning fees may apply for violations.

Island Quiet Hours

To preserve the peaceful atmosphere of the island:

• Quiet hours are observed between 10:00 PM and 7:00 AM.
• Please be considerate of fellow guests and local residents.
• Unregistered visitors are not permitted in guest rooms.

Valuables & Responsibility

• Guests are responsible for their personal belongings and valuables.
• EcoWave Retreat cannot accept liability for items lost, stolen, or left unattended.
• Guests may be charged for damage, loss, or excessive cleaning resulting from negligence or misuse of property.

Activities & Excursions

Whether you're surfing, snorkeling, exploring sandbanks, or enjoying a dolphin cruise, your safety is our priority.

• Participation in activities and excursions is at your own discretion and risk.
• Guests must follow the instructions provided by guides and crew members at all times.
• Activities may be modified or cancelled due to weather or sea conditions.

Caring for Our Island

As an eco-conscious retreat, we invite you to join us in protecting the fragile beauty of the Maldives.

• Conserve water and electricity whenever possible.
• Reduce the use of single-use plastics.
• Use reef-safe sunscreen when entering the ocean.
• Never remove coral, shells, sand, or marine life from their natural environment.
• Help us keep our beaches and lagoon clean for future generations.

Pets

• Pets are not permitted on the property.
